Personal Background and Artistic Journey I was born in Syria and developed a passion for art early on, a passion that eventually led me to pursue a creative life. My journey has been marked by a constant search for meaning within the layers of reality. Since moving to Vilnius, Lithuania in 2016, I have embraced the contrasts of my new environment while staying deeply connected to my roots. This personal and geographical transition has enriched my visual narrative, driving me to explore themes of transformation, melancholy, and the unexpected ways in which life reshapes itself.   Education and Training Bachelor of Fine Arts, Damascus University, Damascus, Syria (2007 – 2011) My formal training at Damascus University laid the foundation for my technical and conceptual approach to painting. Workshops and Mentorships Over the years, I have supplemented my academic education with various workshops and guidance from established artists, which have further honed my skills and enriched my understanding of contemporary art. Artistic Style and Influences My work interrogates the dialectical relationship between art and the ever-shifting reality we inhabit. I view each painting as an unfinished inventory—a collection of fragmented objects and figures that together form a narrative about our desire for beauty and the inevitable presence of melancholy.   From an external perspective, my style is defined by:   Conceptual Inquiry: The images I create are not merely representations but are visual meditations on the interplay of presence and absence, challenging viewers to confront the hidden subtexts in everyday life. Emotional Ambiguity: By eschewing overly explicit symbolism, my work invites multiple interpretations, suggesting that the true essence of our experience often lies in what remains unsaid or unseen.
